SIR EDMUND HILLARY
KG ONZ KBE

OUR LATE FRIEND AND CO-FOUNDER

BORN
July 20, 1919

‘Bora Sab, on this, the 100th year of your birth, we salute you!’

This year we seize the occasion of our dear friend’s centennial birth year to toast the man and to reflect on the astonishing legacy he left behind. The list of humanitarian activities generated by Sir Edmund Hillary’s benevolent influence is apparent in everything we stand for and in the projects we support.

While countless accolades were bestowed on Ed during his lifetime, it was his dedicated friendship among the Sherpa people of the Solu-Khumbu region of Nepal that matter most to us. If Ed were alive today, he would be 100 years old. Around the world, 100th Birthday tributes from thousands of Sir Edmund Hillary’s fans, supporters, friends and well-wishers abound. Among them, The SEHF and its Board of Directors continue to deliver on Sir Edmund Hillary’s vision of enhanced Healthcare and Education in the Solu-Khumbu; Helping the Sherpas Help Themselves!

We ask that you join the celebratory tide by pledging much-needed financial aid to the SEHF. You, our generous supporters, are the reason we are able to carry on such important contributions to Sherpa lives in Nepal.
