When: Sunday, November 20th, 2022 from 5:30pm-7:00pm EST
How: Purchase tickets through nightinfornepal.eventbrite.ca
What: We will be preparing a traditional Sherpa dish called “Rikikur” or Sherpa potato pancake. This delicious meal is a staple in Sherpa cuisine and can be eaten any time of day. And fun fact, this is Sir Edmund Hillary’s son, Peter Hillary’s, favourite Sherpa meal!
Where: Virtually – a zoom link will be provided with ticket purchase
Cost: $60 CAD per household plus processing fees. However, if you purchase your tickets before October 30th, 2022, you are eligible for $10 off early bird tickets. And as a thank you for your continued support, please use code THANKYOU10 for an extra $10 off the early bird and general ticket price. All tickets come with a $20 CAD tax receipt for Canadian and US residents.
What you can expect at this event:
- A unique opportunity to learn culinary skills and technique from talented chef, Harry Prosser
- Ingredients and step-by-step cooking instructions in advance so it’s easy to follow along
- Exclusive footage and a Q&A with director, Jeremy Watt, of the breathtaking documentary “Everest Dark”, a look into the journey of a Sherpa climber determined to reclaim the sacred mountain from decades of exploitation
- Another night to remember!!
Who we are: The Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation was founded by Sir Edmund Hillary and Zeke O’Connor in 1974.
Its goal is to provide the Sherpa people of Nepal with the tools necessary so that they may improve their lives in the areas of Healthcare, Education, and the Environment.
Many thanks,
A Night In For Nepal Event Committee
